Music to my Ears --- Headphones

Headphones, the thing of the past and future. If you want to be all technical about it then here's an explanation as to how it works.

This device actually has different forms or types that it follows. There are the Earcup Earphones, Circumaural, Supra-aural, Earbuds, and Canalphones; and yet the basic technology used in making these types of headphones work is of almost the same structure and materials. The structures use a device called a transducer. Although there might be different ways of forming these transducers, the main purpose is to convert audio electrical pulses to create sound.

If one hasn’t seen the likes of a device such as this, then that guy would seem to be kept in the shadows for so long. But alright, for those who don’t know what the use of this device is for then it’s simple – people use headphones to listen to audio tracks that are stored in music players (CD player, iPod, mp3, etc.)
. There's a thing called a baby PL at the end of the headphone chord that you attach to the output socket of the audio device.

But enough of the technicalities, these things are of a craze right now, everywhere you go you'll be bound to cross paths with someone sporting one of these. It's now becoming part of the fashion trend as it is already. People don't just look and judge the quality of the product but also the design as well.

Headphones are profit, some of the biggest names in the audio industry know this that is why they invent better ones to beat the competition.

The more notable ones are Bose, JVC, Koss, Panasonic, Phillips, and Sony. Competition within this sector though is not at all stagnant, other brands such Sennheiser, and Skullcandy are emerging to be viable competitors.

The one thing that makes this audio output device differ from let’s say PC speakers, is that it is portable. It can be brought anywhere and anytime by the user. It also provides features such as noise-canceling, aesthetics of the device itself, and so on and so forth that makes it more personal.

The cool thing about headphones is that it's not only limited to recieving audio but also sending these signals as well. Some headphones also come with a microphone which people can use for online conversations with other people. Think of it as a sort of telephone without the keys and stuff.
