Laser Printers

Laser Printer:

a. Much like the ink-jet printer, it works by installing first the software devices needed for it. Then after the installation, it will work by simply supplying paper in the designated area and clicking “print” for your document.

b. The leading providers for this service are the ff: HP, IBM and Epson.

c. The laser printer differs from other similar devices in terms of its efficiency. Compared to standard ink-jet printers, the laser printer has a relatively higher “page per minute” capability. This basically means it can produce more printed pages. Moreover, the laser printer differs in terms of quality. The images and lettering are crisper. Lastly, the laser printers use toners instead of ink cartridges.

d. The device is usually used for printing of large quantities since it can, as mentioned earlier, print more pages than the usual printers. It is also used for printing images (eg. Pictures, greeting cards, brochures, etc)

e. Laser printers usually come with other uses. For instance, my Samsung laser printer at home also has the capability to fax, scan and photocopy. Basically, it has become an all-in-one kind of device.
