The Mouse

- How does it work?

a. Mechanical mouse – they work with rollers inside the body of the mouse. As the rollers move, these movements track the motions of the device and send electrical signals to the computer to relay the signals

b. Optical mouse – these are mice sans the rollers. Instead of rollers, they use LED light to read the movement of the mouse

c. Laser mouse – this is very similar to an optical mouse but this one gives better results. It’s faster and more efficient. This means that the tracking of motion is more accurate than an optical mouse

- How does it differ from other similar devices? à

a. Compared to other motion tracking devices, let’s say a mouse pen, it is more basic.

b. More universal basing from the fact that mice are the first PC tracking devices to be used in demand.

c. Based from its physical structure, it is more stable and it does not require a stand

- What is the device used for? mice are basically used for controlling data seen on computers. This serves as the virtual and mechanical way of manipulating data.

- Are there other possible uses for the device aside from what it is designed for?

a. Especially for mice today, they are more flexible in terms of universality with computers (USB, Bluetooth)

b. Other forms can be used for gaming and programming
