Ergonomic Keyboards

Ergonomic Keyboard

An ergonomic keyboard is a specially designed keyboard with ergonomic considerations to minimize muscle strain and a host of related problems. It is very similar to the traditional keyboard in the way it has more or less the same character buttons. The advantages of using an ergonomic keyboard are that it reduces muscle strain and reduces risk of Carpal Tunnel syndrome and that these keyboards can make typing far easier, faster and less awkward.

One of the top leading manufacturers for ergonomic keyboards is Microsoft. Lately, they have launched one of their newest editions of ergonomic keyboards, the Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000. Ergonomic keyboards differ from the other keyboards mainly in its design. Most ergonomic keyboards have a split design in order for its users to type with a more natural wrist position.

Ergonomic keyboards, just like traditional keyboards, are used for basic typing functions needed when operating a computer. They can also be used for gaming and for other software programs which requires character input.
